Location:

All technical sessions and exhibits will be held at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center, 1751 Hotel Plaza Blvd., Lake Buena Vista, Florida. We expect that the Hilton will meet all needs of our attendees and their accompanying guests. This page provides all the necessary information about the Hotel and the reservations process. We strongly recommend that you use the Conference Hotel.

Rates:

SIMS XI attendees and their guests can stay at the conference hotel at a special rate that represents a discount of > 50 % over prevailing rates. As a courtesy to attendees, this rate has also been extended for 3 days before and 3 days after the meeting on a space available basis. There are two types of discounted room rates available to attendees: These rates do not include an 11% sales tax or any gratuities:

• $120.00/night (single or double) for a standard room.
• $170.00/night (single or double) for upgraded accommodations in a Hilton Towers Room (Upgraded room and access to lounge), plus tax (currently 11%). Call the hotel directly to make your reservations.

Call the hotel directly to make your reservations. Mention you are attending the SIMS XI Conference to obtain the conference rate. A major credit card is required to guarantee reservations. The deadline for reservations at the discounted rate is August 1, 1997. The Hilton is large enough to accommodate all conferees, but it is not unusual for this hotel to sell out. To avoid disappointment, make your reservations early. After August 1, reservations will be on a space available basis only at the prevailing rate. Check in time is after 3 pm, and check out time is 11 am.

• Reservations via the WWW are not currently possible because the Hilton WWW site cannot display group/convention rates.

Cancellation:

To cancel a registration and not be charged for one night, you must cancel 72 hours prior to your arrival date.

Additional Hotel Information:

The hotel is located in the Walt Disney World Village within easy walking distance of the Disney Village Marketplace, Pleasure island, and the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Complimentary bus transportation is available throughout the Disney Resort area. Parking at the hotel is free. Amenities at the hotel include 7 restaurants, 2 lounges, 2 outdoor heated swimming pools, outdoor whirlpool, 2 lighted tennis courts, health club, on-site child care, business center, lobby shops, AVIS car rental.
