Advanced Registration
Fees (Deadline August 1, 1997):
Full registration for this conference is $395.00 dollars(international currency converter ) This includes access to all sessions, the equipment exhibition, one copy of the hardbound proceedings book, all refreshment breaks, Sunday welcome reception, Tuesday night conference dinner and Thursday evenings excursion/banquet at Disneys EPCOT Center. Student registration is $195.00 and includes all of the above. A preliminary program listing the titles and authors of all talks and posters will be sent to those whose registration is received by August 1, 1997. If you have not received a registration form in the mail, you can printout this SIMS XI registration form, and mail or fax to the conference office. Your registration must be accompanied by credit card information (VISA or MasterCard Only) or a check in US dollars for the total amount. All persons in the conference areas of the hotel must be registered and wearing an official SIMS XI name badge. Pre registered attendees may pickup their name badge and registration packet beginning at 3 pm on Sunday, September 7, at the Hilton.
On-Site Registration
Fees:
On-site registration will be $100.00 more than advanced registration. ($495 for regular and $295 for students). On site registration will begin at 3 pm, Sunday, September 7, at the Hilton.
Cancellation:
To cover the cost of handling and processing $30 will be deducted from refunds for cancellations. Written request for a refund must be postmarked on or before August 29, 1997.
Student Registration
(Deadline August 1, 1997):
To register as a student you must be enrolled full-time in a degree program. Please attach a copy of current student ID to the registration form..
Student Travel
Awards (Deadline May 15, 1997):
There are a limited number of travel awards available for full time students presenting a paper at the meeting. These will be awarded on a competitive basis to full time students. There is a limit of no more than two awards per research group. In exchange for an award, you must be willing to assist at the conference. Award recipients will be asked to act as a projectionist in a session. You must be on-site in Orlando by 2 pm on Sunday, September 7 in order to participate. To apply submit four sets, collated and stapled, of the following: 1. Student travel application form; 2. A one page summary of your proposed presentation plus your abstract on the abstract form; 3. A letter of recommendation from your research advisor; 4. Copy of current student ID. Recipients of student awards are required to submit manuscripts for the proceedings book. Do Not Send your Abstract Separately. Award applications will not be accepted by FAX.
Companion Registration:
Companion registration is offered for persons accompanying conference
registrants and includes a designated name badge and the social events
listed below: Companion registration is $150.00
