Tuesday 7-9 pm Conference Dinner at the Hilton: Official SIMS XI name badge required.
Thursday, 6:30-10:30 pm Banquet/Excursion to EPCOT. Buses will transport you from the Hilton to Disneys Epcot Center. Our group will enter "backstage" for exclusive use of the American Adventure Rotunda for a buffet of prime rib, seafood, chicken vegetables and salads. The Rotunda also houses the American Adventure one of the most detailed audioanimontronic shows in Disney World. After dinner, we will be escorted to French Island, a private viewing area for a dessert party and the famous Epcot fireworks and laser light show. Our final hours at Epcot will be spent with exclusive use of "Innoventions" one of the newest high tech attraction areas at Epcot. Innoventions is the home of new high technology products that are not yet commercially available but will be coming out in the next few years. Look for hands-on displays of the latest in computer technology, virtual reality, 3D modeling, telecommunications, robotics etc.This special event is intended for adults. Older children are welcome, but must be supervised by their parents.
Disney Attractions:
If you register by August 1, your SIMS XI registration receipt letter will include an order form for multi-day passes and a reduced conference rate to the Disney attractions, including EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios and Pleasure Island. These passes are recommended for the week-end before or after the conference and must be purchased in advance. Half day tickets for EPCOT, MGM Studios and the Magic Kingdom for the free afternoon on Wednesday will be available at the conference registration desk for $28.00.
Climate in Orlando:
The average temperature in Orlando in September is 88 F (31 C) during the day and 74 F (23 C) in the evening. Expect afternoon thundershowers. Dress for the conference is casual !!. Jackets and ties are not required for the sessions or for any of the social programs. For the excursion comfortable walking shoes or sneakers would be preferable. Child care:
The Hilton hotel maintains a "Vacation Station"
In addition to the usual array of games, movies, and activities, this child care facility offers small beds set off in a quiet area for children who wish to take a nap or go to sleep before their parents return. Available to children ages four through twelve staying at any resort on WDW property. Reservations: Open 5 PM until midnight. About $4 per hour for one child, $7 per hour for two, and $8 per hour for three. If you arrive to pick up your children after midnight, there is an additional charge. KINDERCARE - In-Room and In-Park Babysitting KinderCare-trained sitters provide both in-room and in-park child care and touring. This service is available to guests at all resorts on WDW property. In-room sitting is the only option for children who are too young to tour the parks or who are not yet toilet trained. In-park child care is limited to no more than two children per sitter and guests are required to pay the price of the sitter's park admission plus the hourly fee. Guests are asked to provide the sitter with a meal if the sit time is six hours or more. Reservations: Open twenty-four hours a day. Rates start at about $10 per hour; four-hour minimum with 30 minutes' travel time. Reserve at least a day in advance (407 827-5444)

Sporting Activities:
