WELCOME TO the 21st annual Workshop

The Alamo, Longhorn Steer, and the San Antonio River Walk welcome you to the 21st Annual Workshop on SIMS.

San Antonio, Texas, is rich with culture and heritage.  The Spanish and Latin influences are everywhere - from the colors in decor to the colors in the sky.  San Antonio is now the eighth largest city in the US, but retains an unhurried feel due in part to its combination of small town warmth and its respect for its diverse heritage.

The SIMS Workshop Committee invites you to join us in San Antonio where history will serve as the backdrop for the science and wizardry of SIMS.

The travel date will be Monday, May 12, 2008, with tutorial sessions on Tuesday, May 13. We are planning a Welcome Mixer and registration for Tuesday night (the 13th). Our Technical Program is Wednesday (May 14) through lunchtime on Friday, May 16, 2008. We are planning a variety of workshop activities, presentations, discussions, and networking.  On Friday afternoon as you return home, we hope you will feel full of new and useful information, enthused about the direction of our work, and a bit refreshed from the San Antonio environment.

It is always good to see friends from the past and meet new friends in the environment of SIMS education and training.  Don't miss this opportunity to expand your SIMS vision and talk with the top SIMS scientists and educators.

See you there!
