The SIMS List server was first established in May 1993 as a fast and efficient form of email communication open to all interested scientists/engineers in the SIMS community. It was created and managed by Richard Lareau from the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Ft. Monmouth, NJ. The subscription list numbers over 200, and it is now operated by Mark Wood and Richard Lareau from ARL's new site in Adelphi, MD. As part of the Annual Workshop on SIMS, the SIMS List server and WWW pages provide several paths for communicating world-wide with SIMS scientists/engineers. The purpose of the list server is to promote online discussion of all aspects of SIMS, including (but not limited to) techniques, instrumentation, analytical procedures, data interpretation and applications. Also, conference and workshop announcements and job postings are welcome. Please read the information below on joining and using the SIMSList.
